Welcome

We have set up this website to host the family tree information dug up by my father over the past ten years or so of research. What started out as a localised look back at our immediate ancestry in the West Sussex area, has since taken him all over England - and even to Ireland. He has been able to piece together the family line right back to the middle of the 18th century, despite being hindered by some noticeable gaps in the official Irish records which often made the trail go cold.

So many interesting stories, details and facts are stored only in people's memories, and are lost for ever when that person passes away. It is important that this information is faithfully documented and passed on for future generations to read, to help them better understand who their forefathers and mothers were, and what they did in their lives.

We hope that by sharing the information collated so far, other family members may be encouraged to contribute their own memories, stories and photographs so as to build a fuller picture of our families past. Whilst we are unlikely to find Royalty in our lineage, we may be lucky enough to discover and track down some surviving branches of our tree that we had previously not known about.

So, if you think you might have a connection into our family tree and would like to make your own contribution, please get in touch or drop us an email.
